It's close-in location with relatively lax STR rules also makes it a great place for a vacation home.  Here's a breakdown of STR rules and regulations for Sunset Valley:

•  STR regs adopted June 2022, take effect Oct 1, 2022 - registration process is still being worked out, will be available online closer to the date
•  STR defined as the rental of any residence or residential structure or a portion of a residence or residential structure for a period of less than 30 days
•  Residential Structure is defined as a single-family dwelling (attached or detached) or a single guesthouse
•  Occupancy and vehicle limits
•  Verification that this short-term rental property is the registrant's property or permission from the property owner allowing the use as an STR
•  STR registration required
•  Hotel occupancy taxes required to be paid
•  City inspection of STR required once registration is approved
•  Registration fee TBD; must be renewed every 2 years
